This question is a tricky one because of the fact that there is nothing like having a wedding planner on board to help you but the fact is that this wedding planner can be sometimes a major detriment to your wedding.

First things first – Establish a timeline for the wedding. You should start your search for a wedding planner as soon as you are engaged. A good famous wedding planner in your area will have no bookings for the next two years. Yes If I have disappointed you then I am sorry but this is the reality.

You can then try a wedding planner who is not that famous. They will have only a year or so wait for the booking.

My advice
Book the wedding planner even in the case of their booking being full because you never know as someone may cancel the booking and you may get a chance.

Secondly get hold of a wedding planner who is in a slightly far away place and check if he has the available booking.
